By building homes, we give families a chance to thrive and succeed. It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our beloved Executive Director, Michael Bourgoin, of Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity. Mike was more than a leader; he was a friend, a mentor, and a beacon of hope for our community.
Mike's impact was immeasurable. Through his tireless dedication, countless families found hope, stability, and dignity through the homes he helped build. His passion for Habitat for Humanity went beyond bricks and mortar; it was about creating a better future for others. He believed that helping thy neighbor wasn't just a principle, it was a way of life.
Mike’s leadership inspired us to work harder, dream bigger, and come together as a community. He was a man who could see potential in every person and every situation, always reminding us that small acts of kindness could create lasting change. He believed a stronger community starts with lending a helping hand, a value he lived and breathed every single day.
